The property has been noted as a fine example of a well managed horse property by the Adelaide Hills Natural Resource Management Board who run pasture care courses at Kirkley Hill. Paddocks have been sown with specific horse pasture and are fertilised with organic fertiliser annually. Horses are rotated so as not to overgraze the pasture. We have an extensive manure composting and recycling program using composting worms, producing quality premium garden compost. Much of this is returned to the paddocks as fertiliser each autumn.
The property is bushfire ready, along with extinguishers, fire pumps and paddock irrigation. A bushfire plan involving all agistees and horses will be put into practise in the event of a fire. Detailed Fire plan is provided to all agistees.
All agistees are required to complete a liability form (provided on arrival) and are ecouraged to source their own tack, horse and personal insurance.
